Cartagena shares many similarities with St Augustine. Both cities were founded by the Spanish in the 1500’s and were important to the Spanish shipping fleets that came to and from Spain for more than 250 years.
Many of our members have close ties with Columbia which makes Cartagena a perfect Sister City for St Augustine.
VP Letter: Jeanne Prickett, President of the Florida School fro the Deaf and Blind reported the three-large screen smart TVs for the school in Cartagena were well received there. Nettie Ruth Brown reported that Consuelo Lippi and the committee were working on future plans for a trip to Cartagena.
